COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Clinical Bodywork techniques for the low back, hips, and abdomen

The muscles in the hips, abdomen and spine play a critical role in core stabilization, load transfer and gait.

In this Clinical Skills class you will learn an approach to tissue engagement and advanced massage techniques designed to elevate your clinical bodywork skills to achieve results for clients with low back pain, hip pain, anterior/posterior pelvic tilt, lateral pelvic tilt or pelvic rotation.  With this training you will be able to increase the mobility of the anterior and posterior oblique sling systems, restore pliability to the thoracolumbar fascia, and integrate the core with the spine and hips.

Learn myofascial release techniques for the thoracolumbar fascia, ligament techniques for the sacrotuberous ligament, positional release for the tranversus abdominus, active release for the piriformis and deep work for the psoas.

This class offers 12 CEU credits.
