Massage CEU Classes
The Myo Institute offers a Clinical Skills series of classes to expand a therapist’s repertoire of clinical bodywork techniques while developing and improving touch skills, sharpening communication with clients, assessing postural deviations and structural misalignment, and learning protocols for specific injuries and conditions. Learn more about The Myo Method here.
In addition to the Clinical Skills curriculum, we also host other CEU providers from across the globe for workshops at our studio in Austin, Texas. These massage CEU classes feature modalities, techniques and concepts that contribute to fully developing a therapist’s skills.
Instructor: Levi Cory
CEU Credit: 16 hours
Dates: July 23-24, 2022
Class Type: Advanced Clinical Techniques
Course: In this class we will explore the muscles and fascia essential to achieving deep and easy breath. Freeing the breath helps to regulate stress and the nervous system, and also ties into postural issues that affect the whole body. You will learn advanced clinical techniques for the ribcage, abdomen and anterior neck. These techniques focus on many of the ‘lesser known’ muscles and fascia that are usually left out of basic massage training. They are designed to elevate your clinical skillset and get results for clients with breath limitations or pain in the neck or back.

With this training you will be able to increase the flexibility and function of the knee and use gait analysis in order to find discrepancies in walking patterns. Learn myofascial release techniques for the IT Band, ligament techniques for the patellar ligament, myofascial release for the retinaculum of the ankle and active release for the tibialis anterior.
